Local Government Plan Addition and Change During Contract Transition Guidance Document
This document provides guidance to Local Governments during the transition from the Wireless Communication & Equipment (2012 - 2020) contract portfolio to the newer Wireless Voice, Data & Accessories (2019 - 2024) contract portfolio.
The State of Utah (new Lead State) has issued award notices for the new Wireless Data, Voice and Accessories contracts, which will replace the current Wireless Communication and Equipment contracts. The newly awarded suppliers include AT&T, Verizon Wireless, DiscountCell, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Hughes Network. Two of the new agreements have been awarded and we anticipate the remainder of the new Master Agreements will be available by fall of 2019. Nevada is extending the current contracts through December 31, 2020 to allow states time to complete the Participating Addendum process for the new Master Agreements.
These contracts provide both cell phone services and the cell phones for participating states, local units or government and other authorized entities. Include bundled wireless internet and push to talk services as well as accessories, equipment and devices. These contracts are also available to individual employees of eligible entities, based on the rules and regulations of each individual participating entity.
