• 3^rd party shipping will be passed through to the ordering entity

Fisher Scientific has been approved to implement a fuel surcharge in compliance with Master Agreement MA16000234-1, section 9.4.9.

9.4.9      If fuel prices rise more than 25% above the current U.S. Department of Energy’s average diesel price as of the Closing Date of this RFP, the State may allow variable fuel surcharge fees to be assessed. The surcharge will be based on the U.S. Department of Energy’s average diesel price from the previous month. A request for a fuel surcharge must be approved by the State prior to implementation. No fuel surcharge will be allowed when fuel prices are within 25% of the current U.S. Department of Energy’s average diesel price as of the Closing Date of this RFP.

 

At the implementation of the Master Agreement the national average monthly price for diesel was $2.09/gallon according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.   Accordingly, the trigger price for implementation of the fuel surcharge is $2.61/gallon.  The U.S. Energy Information Administration released the average monthly diesel price for September 2017 at $2.78 per gallon.  The national diesel fuel price is monitored monthly and if the price falls below $2.61/gallon, the fuel surcharge will be removed.
